I don't think I have ever tasted a bitter melon,,,probably because the name does not sound very appetizing!

I like lemons because they are more sour but i don't like Brussels sprouts much because they are more bitter.

Someone ask if I eat cat once because I am Chinese. I can't ever eat my favorite animal, as much as they jerks. Opposition to stuff like that increasing with younger generation, thankfully. But I thought it rude to be asked such question because of nationality. :worry:

I've always heard the racist quip that Asians eat dogs, but not so much cats. Either way it's so sad people can be so nasty to anyone let alone strangers. :frustration:

These kind of foods becoming increasingly unpopular with younger generation. But China has history of both. The person must have thought that they were being funny. I don't find it nice though and makes me feel bad and awkward. I don't mind hearing criticism of China. We are not perfect. But some things more uncomfortable than others.

Yep, I suppose anything can be sad from select point of views. I try to remain/view positive if there one not too far removed from reality.
