Ya, bad internet/connection is one of the disadvantages of living in the country.

Do you think you will move out and get an apartment or place in the city? If you do, see if you can get a place with cable and that covers utilities.

It's actually not that bad, just data cap is sucky
Hopefully it won't be so bad after roommate leaves, we've been hitting/going over more often with her

those "tiny houses" are a pretty cool idea if you have property to park them on. They are kind of like a motor home except you don't drive them around but you can move them...that's the ones you are talking about?

Same concept as mobile homes (mostly), different aesthetic
Some need special towing permits and others require paying for a big rig to transport them
In the end, whether or not people tow it around or not is up to them
I've seen a couple of trailer parks too, and houses that are simply tiny

I've seen pictures of some really cool tiny houses. I think the biggest factor for me would be good utilities (water, sewage, and power--although I'd image solar would be a good fit)
