Happy Easter! Did you do any easter egg hunts with your daughter?

We had rain showers yesterday but the local communities still did the easter egg hunts, they just cut back on the other activities.

competition was today and I tanked LOL
I got so nervous

but I'm still really proud of myself for pushing myself and getting out of my comfort zone.

I had this whole thing prepared and practiced. but when I got in front of the judges. I legit forgot everything.

I chose Guatemala Antigua
it's a medium roast grown in Guatemala.
it has hints of cocoa and baking spices
I chose to pair it with the pumpkin loaf to pull more of those baking spices flavors ^^

I think this is something I'll do again and just keep practicing doing coffee tastings. ^^

Next time treat them as if they are one of your customers.

But yay on putting yourself out there & sounds like a yummy combo together!

But I'm proud of you for trying your best! And even more proud that the experience didn't make you decide to never try again! That shows determination and bounce backiness

What I've found is concentrating/focusing on the product (your coffee blend and process) will help since you know it inside and out. I used to utter garbage talking about things until I realized that I had no problem talking about stuff I knew (and more so with stuff I liked). If the person/people you're talking to are interested in the subject, they're listening to what you're saying rather than anything about me--so that was a great relief to not harp on that.

Of course experience (like getting over the unknowns of this competition) will help greatly next time since you'll more or less know that to expect. When is the next competition?
