Yeah, it's not fun. The good thing is it hasn't been lasting long, it's been melting pretty quick.

So, i hate my states governor because he's screwing over our teachers and obviously gives no shit about the people of my state. All he cares about is $$$.

Trying to take away teachers benefits and pensions.

Now schools are closing on Fridays so teachers can protest. Kids need to learn, but we ain't gonna have teachers if the governor isn't stopped on his tirade of madness.

All these teachers who went in a career where they were already not paid a lot going to lose everything and they can't even collect ss. The schools are already underfunded, the last thing we need is to lose teachers because there is no use being a teacher if you can make more money just working at McDonald's!

What does he want? A generation of kids who don't have an education? Not all parents can homeschool. Schools already can't have a textbook for each child and only have classroom sets due to budget cuts.

It's a huge ass middle finger to all teachers of the state.

Public education is needed, it shouldn't be messed with, it should be cared for if we, as a country, want to have competent adults to care for the people and help the next generation reach the same destination as all generations before.

I wish we can impeach governors like we can impeach the president. At least it's safe to say he can say goodbye to his position in November. Ain't nobody gonna re-elect him.

You can recall a governor. Your state may prohibit that, but I've never heard of any state with such a prohibition. It's kind of a safety valve.

Unfortunately, I think these rules originated to remove an official from public office when they do something or things illegal and not because they do something some or even all people don't like. Today it seems to be thrown around as an option to remove someone from office because they simply don't like them or to change election results--which shows a complete misunderstanding of what the intent was or that it isn't even legal to be used in that manner.
