That's so cool!! I'm glad things are working out for you and your family! I'd love to see the wand when you get the chance to upload it :cheer:

Definitely a win win for both parties! :D What kind of work do you typically do? I've been working on my drawing tablet/laptop so I set the table lower but with paper drawings/painting I definitely tend to lift it more. Standing and drawing is a bit of a struggle haha

Ye! It's based on the description of the wand I've gotten from the Pottermore quiz! I've taken the quiz four times and gotten the same description, so I finally asked my dad to actually make it! And it's awesome! Also yeah, it is quite pretty!

The wood for it was also expensive, but I payed for it because I wanted it to match the description!

My workstation is a typical computer setup (monitor, keyboard and mouse mostly). The key to these things is to have the same eyeline to your monitor and arm/wrist bend angles to your keyboard and mouse regardless of whether you sit or stand. This way there's little/no difference in working ergonomics. My workstation is infinitely adjustable (a bad description; adjustable within the max and min heights) with memory settings that makes it easy to transition. I know some are two position, but once you're convinced it helps, you can decide if it's worth upgrading to a more adjustable setup. For me saving my back (hello sciatica) and wrists (hello carpel tunnel) was well worth the added cost.

That said, they're all a lot cheaper today than when I got mine, so it's less of a big decision than it used to be.

No wonder the shape looked so familiar! I haven't done the pottermore quiz in forever but I did buy a wand for my birthday one year :strain: the build quality is nowhere as nice as yours though. The wood looks so gorgeous under the lighting so it was definitely worth the price! :cheer:

Does Disney make custom lightsabers? This is my first time hearing of it.

Ohhh mine doesn't have memory settings so I just adjust to whatever feels comfy at the time~ But yea it's super helpful to keep a straight back! I know some people get laptop stands for it but I don't think i'd be able to life my arms in midair to type :P
Yea the one I got wasn't bad at all, it was a bit pricey due to the table size being twice as large, but still the same price as my old custom plywood one! Zero regrets~

Wow Npixelz! Your Dad carved that for you??? Amazing job! Maybe he can take it up as a side job. What else does he carve/lathe? Is he training you how to make them as well?
