Do you use seasoned breadcrumbs or do you add your own seasoning? What meat/breadcrumb ratio do you like? How about egg?

Meatballs usually need breadcrumbs or similar or they can get to be rubbery in texture.

I add my own spices and seasoning. I don't remember the ratio. Aaaaand I do add eggs.

Yeah, and I think it helps stop them from falling apart. Or was it that too much breadcrumbs causes them to fall apart more easily? I don't remember.

What spices and seasoning do you use? Garlic and oregano I assume. Anything else? I've seen people add sugar. That's weird to me!

Well you learn something new everyday. I remember making meatballs once. Unfortunately, I don't remember if they came out well.

Sugar doesn't sound like it would work.

I can understand the sentiment behind adding sugar, but it doesn't really work. I suppose it's trying to "fix" bad tomatoes perhaps? Tomatoes are a fruit and contain a lot of sugar by themselves and less flavorful ones might lack sugar??

A good meatball (and accompanying sauce or gravy!) can be a meal in itself!

sugar just makes it sweeter and I think its done to try and cut the acidity...don't quote me on that though.

I have had meatballs in barbecue sauce before and also mini hot dogs in bbq sauce as well.

our beach stores sell a lot of ice cream & gelato but I think they close by 9 pm in the summer and earlier in the winter months.

The beaches I go to don't have ice cream shops, or at least, I don't remember them having any
