dang, I missed wishing everyone Happy Hanukah ! Apparently it started Dec 2nd and goes until Dec 10. That's presents for everyday!! How is it seven days of presents never caught on as a celebration!?!?

one chocolate a day or one box of chocolates a day? Actually, If I ate that much chocolate I probably wouldn't want to eat chocolate again for quite awhile.

Yeah, and if it was little presents everyday to avoid things being too expensive, then people wouldn't be getting the big expensive items. Like the Smart TV my dad got.

That's what I love about modern consumer electronics--they keep getting better and cheaper. TV's are the cheapest they've ever been.

True. We live in quite the age. So many advancements in technology, science, medicine, social norms, etc, are happening in this day and age. And it's becoming cheaper.

I watch some of the historical drama's and I really would not want to live in that time period...I like my amenities!

I'm glad we have medical advances that we have. I would not have survived in the past without panadol for cramps, antibacterials for infections, etc. Even just the fridge and freezer are a huge blessing. I know we're pretty spoiled but I'm looking forward to what other stuff science has for us. As much as it is become cheaper I am worried about the environment and global warming and stuff. Australia has put a ban on plastic bags and we've cut down by 80% on those but we still need to work on other stuff like plastic straws, styrofoam and cigarettes.

The fashion style of steam punk has come back and I like the costumes of back then but like Cemuex I am very happy to have the technological advances we have today. We still need to work on doing better at recycling and not stock piling trash.
