I work overnight stocking in a grocery store, so it needs to be open constantly. I thankfully wasn't scheduled during Christmas Eve day and Christmas Day, but I believe people were still working.

That's so sad Shamus, and very disappointing for you! But I am sure you made the time you did get with them over the holidays very fun and memorable...maybe next year they can sleep over Christmas eve-eve if you have to work.

building in minecraft takes longer then you would expect

but minecraft is so good at helping with engineering skills! And you can create some really cool places!

I have been playing a game kind of like minecraft lately, dragon quest builders 2!
I wish I got it on pc though because playing anything like that on a console is difficult for me!! Props to people who do it!!
