Earning feathers in Proving Grounds

Not sure if bug or feature, but I just earned 15 feathers in Proving Grounds.
Making a topic = 10 feathers
Posting after some minutes = 5 feathers

Most avi sites (that I've been to) don't allow currency earning in testing forums, so I just want to be sure.

I'm not positive but I think you get UP to 20 feathers for starting a new thread, depending on what category it is. Usually you get feathers for your first post but not for sequential posts unless someone posts between yours.

SPAM threads only give 1 feather per post for example, games 3 or 5 feathers and threads with conversation 5 or 10

Edit: I got no feathers for posting in the bug report thread but I am not sure if proving grounds is the same, but i don't think it is.

Ahh I see, I had someone post in between, so that's where the 5 feathers came from. Thanks for the interesting info!
