Maintenance notice not disappearing upon refresh

This was a bit confusing for me. I kept refreshing the page with the maintenance notice because I was expecting it to go away when maintenance was over. Only today I noticed that it was pointing to a completely different domain (http://alliancedigitalstudios.com/Windl ... fline.html) and once I typed in the actual site url, I saw Windlyn had been up again for hours.

Was this just me?

It did that to me, but its probably only because you were redirected to another site and the only way you'd know it was back up was to go to windlyn. At least i assume because i usually keep Windlyn open.

Ah, didn't think that people would keep the page open. We just added a meta forward back to Windlyn every 15 seconds to that page. That should send people back here *if* they refresh the page and for anyone who keeps the upgrade notice page open in the future. Of course using a bookmark or manually entering our URL will always work once we're back online.

For anyone interested, you can't have a redirect to notify people that the site is down pointing to the same domain that's being taken down or it'll endlessly loop. (That's why we pointed to a page on our parent domain.)
