Ah the stereotype...

Most people do chose to have a barbecue but it was waaaaaaaay to hot where i live so i just stayed inside and made lamingtons with my mum. The nearby fireworks were cancelled though because a man and his girlfriend crashed a seaplane into the river.....
I don't really celebrate Australia Day... It's too hot and i don't like swimming at the beach because of the sun and i can't really swim...

They both died.... It was on the Australian news...

Lamingtons are basically squares of sponge cake covered in a thin layer of strawberry jam and covered in chocolate and then covered in coconut.

If i was in an emergency i would be able to swim but not very well.

oh my gosh I want some of those Lamingtons! They sound absolutely delicious!! I'd eat them with or without coconut!!!

That is definitely sad about the plane crash.

I don't swim very well either but in order to do a sailing test when I was 13 I had to swim in the ocean and that was scary for me because they took us quite a ways out from shore.

is your ocean water warm there, like Hawaii has warm - bath tub temp water- but the Pacific here is around 50F degrees and quite cold
