We can buy sparklers and the Chinese type firecrackers ( monster snaps?) sometimes at the grocery store during July 4th celebration week but they burn out easy and I don't think are a problem unless someone misuses them ( meaning I don't think they malfunction and explode).

Why are we so obsessed with fireworks as a society? They’re dangerous and can cause a lot of problems for temporary excitement.

but you have to admit...fireworks can look so amazing! I f you watch them from afar you don't get the loud noise just the pretty colors. :grin_wink:

I don’t know if I’m prone to epilepsy or what (other NF2 patients are), but I can’t really deal with flashes. I have to be very careful with fireworks. Still photos are the best.

I did once see July 4th fireworks in Boston on the Charles. That was special. I wasn’t totally comfortable, but I’m glad I got to experience that.

Hm, this holiday meal sounds really tasty, but I’d only be able to eat the turkey, maybe. The pumpkin loaf probably won’t work...decisions...
