My work placement was postponed but I'm still going to school and still working part time.
Is anyone working/schooling from home?

I'm working ...not in a position to be able to work from home. Everyone coming in generally keeps their distance but when they get too close...some people back up very quickly to avoid them. No one coughing though!

I've heard from my employer. Business as usual as we can't work from home due to data protection laws. I'm relieved as I would have gone crazy if the lockdown meant I couldn't work.

That's good news about the coughing, Lemon!

Hopefully people are being more conscientious about not going out when they are coughing now...a good habit to get into for future flu season's.

Indeed, I hope so too. I've noticed that people now cough and sneeze into tissues rather than their hands or not at all... Let's hope it sticks.

It's really mean spirited, but the people already complaining about lockdown make me roll my eyes a little. Well, gee, at least you have the option of leaving the house when this is all over. I do understand it's a difficult time for everyone though.

I'm actually lucky, I get to have some resemblance of my normal life as I am still required to go to work...and grocery shopping wasn't too bad today...other then the paper goods aisle shelves had quite a bit of food.

I am hoping it is a good family bonding time because families have to spend more time together and parents have to monitor their kids more so I don't see that as bad.

Exactly. All this 'but I can't go out partying or whatever' is ridiculous. It actually influenced policy here for a few weeks.

I totally agree...they think they are infallible I guess. I have heard of a couple cases now where some students did the party spring break vacation thing & someone in the group tested positive. There should be some kind of consequence for that.

It's tough but we all need to do this together to protect each other. I miss my friends and family but I'm so grateful I can talk to them every day.

Police reported that they have already had to disperse a group of 20 people having a BBQ. Not even a whole day after the government announced the tighter restrictions!

I can see if you have been living together like as a group of room mates but I don't think that is what is happening.

Maybe if everyone uses tighter sanitary measures daily then people would get less sick? But then hasn't research indicated that we have super bugs because of our misuse in antibiotics and all our antibacterial soap and "over kill" in cleaning?
