This may or may not be a success, but here goes.

So the point is to come up with a topic for debate and the next person answers with what they think is the correct answer or best option, and then they give a reason for it.

Example; what came first, the chicken or the egg? The egg because egg laying creatures existed before chickens. Or alternatively, a circle has no beginning.

Another example; who's the bigger fool, the fool or the fool who follows him? The fool who follows him because he knows he's a fool yet still follows him.

A fun thing about this is you don't have to give a new topic to debate in your post, you can let the discussion continue.

Ok, first off, where do vanished objects go?

Actually, nowhere land is something to think about. If they are truly vanished, they could go to a place of non-being, like a "nowhere land".

Your other answer begs the question; what kind of particles are they? If the items are vanished completely, where did the particles come from? And is there enough of the particles to partially recreate the objects?

No particle vanishes completely... it is still there just not visible with the human eye.

That said, how can they then filter all pollutants, viruses, drugs from our drinking water?

I would say that matter cannot be created or destroyed. So if something vanishes, it's just no longer observable--which means it could be in a different place or just no longer detectable by the observer/observers.

I think they/we can only filter things larger than a water molecule. Anything else smaller could not be caught by a filter.

The closest thing to pure water is distilled water (turning liquid to steam and condensing back to water tends to leave behind contaminants that don't convert to steam) or "building" water by combining hydrogen and oxygen (hydrogen fuel cells do this).

OK, this is a hard one: Define truth.

Oh that is quite difficult! Hmm... I'd say truth is like art, it is in the eye of the beholder. What may be the truth to one individual may be a falsehood to another. It's all a matter of perspective. Of course, sometimes even if one believes it to be false it is still true, they just don't know it, so for that I would say that truth, complete truth, is an ideal, a belief in a world where lies do not exist.

The truth, I feel, can't be changed, even if it's false to someone else, doesn't make it untrue, it's still true and you can't change it. It is both conditional and unconditional.

Do other species have a concept of truth?

Other species have a concept of truth based on their own survival and life. A cat knows the truth of being a cat more than we understand.

What level of understanding do other species have? For example; a mouse?

The understanding of needing to eat to survive. Understanding the conditions it needs to survive. The understanding not where to go is too complex for them to grasp.
