Yes, it is pretty scary specially to the civilians living in Marawi who we're caught in the crossfire between the military and that rebel group. The entire town were almost deserted. I think 90% of the population evacuated to the nearby safe places. There were reported casualties already from the civilians, military and rebel side. Some buildings and residential houses were burned down by the rebel group.

As of this moment, the fire fight are still on going. According to reports, the rebels are now starting to weaken. The Red Cross and social welfare are on standby waiting to help those civilians who were fleeing from the warzone.... Still praying for the safety of everyone there.

I just read they are telling civilians to wear white so they can distinguish them from the military. Very scary to have war going on in your "back yard". Be safe!

My family and friends are all safe, don't worry.
I'm living near the capital city, Manila. I believe, we're 1,400+ Kilometers away from Marawi. Its just heart breaking to see the situation there specially the vulnerable civilians.
