I know that college isn't for everyone. I almost bailed from school thinking I couldn't do it. The only thing I worry so much about college is the financial burden afterwards. Just thinking about 100,000's of dollars I will be paying back for the rest of my existence..... since prices are skyrocketing now. But I hope it is worth it at the end.

Bassy, I don't agree with going to school if it is going to put you in debt for years. If you can't get a good paying job in your degree then I think people should rethink it. There are technical schools where you can get trained for jobs and the cost is more feasible. There are grants and scholarships as well and go to a local community college where you can get your classes for a third of the price and transfer later.

That's why I am for lowering college tuition. It can work with free tuition. Though that does not mean like housing, meal plans, etc, are going to be free as well. Some professions can't be given unless you have a degree.

As for education, it sucks that you have to have a degree to show that you have worth. I mean, I've had coworkers who finished with honors from pretty good schools in the country but it didn't exactly mean that they were truly competent.

Sorry if that sounds harsh but I guess as I got older, the more I felt that the education system is pretty flawed.

I just feel college student's arent feeling heard. In our state, our governer is not helping at all. He could lose a lot of professors jobs, he is one reason why my college is losing departments. No one really likes him anymore. He actuall just recently allowed to have the bible taught in schools. Though I do believe in God, I do not think they should in a public school because of controversy and separation between church and state. It's not like the 1500's were there were religious in with diplomacy.

Alicat- <phew> I'm so happy you will finish High school, my heart sunk when i thought you were not thinking of it. There are jobs you can get that pay the bills and you might be happy at without having to do continuing education. I guess try to find out which jobs are higher paying, the benefits and perks and see if it is worth the extra investment to get there.

I was talking to someone today and she is going to be a chef intern at a hotel in costa rica for a few months and then go work at a hotel in Australia - that sounds cool to me! Maybe something like that~

Lemon i'd honestly be fine with a part time job at some store
I don't have any good skills besides video games so i'll just be happy if i get a job one day ^^
