I got to meet up with my friend Chiharu today. My family hosted her when she came to Australia through a school organised thing and we've been in contact ever since. I met up with her and her parents last year but it was good seeing her again!

The Pengwings are about every 30 minutes or so...that's about what I am checking and seem to find them after looking in a few posts.

Looks like you have items from the quests. The daily item representing Novalia seems to be the same so you get the opportunity to get the items even if you only do one quest. But you can go back every 8 hours.

Ooh gotcha, so pengwings pop up every 30 min and quests are every 8 hours. Ah man, I regret canceling Eventide's quest for today I missed out on the "chill" version of the thermometer ahh

You have 8 hours to fulfill the quest and you may be able to get the item in the shops, fishing pond, yard sales or a Pengwing may appear and have what you need in the meantime. I cancelled one quest that asked for 3 of my items but then I got one that asked for 2 of the fishing pond items and a past item and I was ok with letting those go. Sometimes the quest only asks for one item but generally it has asked me for two items.
