Bassy: maybe the feeling is giddy? or like you are going to faint? Don't think of it as how many hours you had to work to save that much...although normally that's a good policy to go by when you are planning on buying something.
See how you feel Thursday night and how the traffic looks, weather etc. One hour is not bad if road conditions are good but if not or you are tired then just get up extra early and go in the light in the morning. Remember to include times people will be going to or getting out of Christmas eve services when you do your calculations
