I think ping's show up in the notification section. Does your bar say how many notifications you have? Mine tells me what threads I am mentioned in and then I just click on those threads to check it out.

Hi Murmurlade. 8am is so early for a test! And an assignment due at 4pm that's just awful. Good luck with your assignments and test though. Well at least you get the house to yourself? (Or do you have siblings? - I found it not to be as fun when you have them ).
