Lime, 'x', Ryvvi, Maro and all you others that considered participating in my writing contest, i am a bit mad at you that not a single one wrote anything. I mean i asked two of my friends that does great art to draw for the winners and the one with the sketchy example headshot in the prizes section would have done lots better than that if you had something interesting to draw and if your story was really good.

The only thing you had to do was write a short poem for an example.
But not a single one of you wrote anything or said that you weren't longer interested in writing anything.
So i sat here waiting with high expectations and got nothing, that's very disappointing guys, very disappointing.

MystMist, you have to realise that these things happen. It's not fair to assume or pressure people into joining a contest if they don't want to participate in it, let alone get mad at people for not joining in. Did I get upset when people didn't participate in my Christmas event when we opened? Of course not. These things happen, and you need to just let them go. Sometimes people don't feel like participating, or they just don't want to. You can't force people to. It's also off-putting to tell people that you're disappointed in them for not wanting to either.

Next time, consider making a different event, or even try something new all-together. It could even just be bad luck, or time of year. People are busy and don't want to sit down and write something sometimes. There's no reason to be upset over it, and I'm sorry if nobody participated this time around. There's always a next time!

You were interested before the thread were even properly finished tho.
And besides several people showing interest and not one doing anything?
That's not due to being busy, at least not for everyone.
And more than showing interest some people said they were going to try to write something.

Yes, but it happens. I did want to join, too. I loved the idea, but as it rolled around, I ended up becoming too busy- and when I wasn't too busy, I was too tired to want to write something. I'm sure other people had similar things. Also, you were kind of bugging people quite a bit to post and join in- but I knew you were excited, and you weren't spamming, so I didn't say anything. But did you consider that maybe people said they'd join because they felt pressured? It's not a nice feeling to have somebody continuously ask you to join something to the point where you feel bad and say you will.

Again, it's all right. These things happen. But instead, maybe next time if an event doesn't go the way you planned, just let it go, and try again next time.
