The bell tolls for those lost,
A triumph, but at what cost,
The bell tolls for those gone,
Never to hear the bells song,
The bell tolls for those not here,
They gave their lives, so we could live without fear,
The bell tolls for those away,
For our tomorrow, they sacrificed their today,
The bell tolls for those dead,
Resting in there earthen bed,
The bell tolls for the soldiers souls,
And for those left behind, the bell tolls.

This is a poem about war, we honour those who fought for us, and we pray that their sacrifice was not in vain.

The toll of the bell,
was a way to tell,
the people all around,
that when they heard the telling sound,
they could run in fright
or celebrate with delight.
