Mechanical warrior frog HELL YES
Name: Frankie
Frankie the mechanical frog has never touched water, lest he break down or worse rust
Frankie's weapon of choice is a broadsword designed to look like a giant blade of grass. As tall as two men he stands out amongst a crowd, much to his displeasure, due to his shy and bashful temperament. He has no home, rejected by his froggy fellows due to his accidentally squashing of his adopted father one morning, instead wandering the lands looking for worthy foes.
He eventually hired a mechanic to follow him around, so that whenever it rained or he got mud or blood in his gears he would have help nearby.
Due to his very easily breakable mechanics hes not a very good warrior, his preferred method of attack is to hunker down in tall grass or behind an object, before leaping out at his victim and then hoping for the best.

Sounds like a pixie to me
Pixies bodies are like children with very few distinctive gender traits so my character may as well be a male that identifies himself as a female. That's ambiguous enough i hope?

Ashen Leaves more commonly known as Asha was a pixie who got cast out when she one day took a prank too far and killed a human.
Outcast and lonely, shunned by humans and pixies alike she was flying around the shadier parts of town and got captured by criminals, there Asha was forced to steal and kill for her captors.
One day years later Asha had enough and wiped the gang that had captured her with her gained skills and trickery.
Among the bandits horde was a few magic items, Asha used the magic in these item to polymorph into the size of a human child, in her new form she took what she needed from the bandit's nest and set of on a journey.
