no one says you have to do Prom, more is made out of it then needs to be.
Get a couple or a group of friends together, dress up and go out for dinner that night instead - see if you can go to a place that has a dance floor even- I can almost guarantee you will have more fun. You can still do all the photos and stuff - heck you are dressed up so you should!
I'm helping a friend out with one of her clubs, Women in Science (encouraging girls' interests in science and medicine, wooh!). I'm also in Astronomy Club this year, and boy do I have a bunch of stuff planned for the club. Apparently I'll be the club's VP, but it's a small club and I don't know man... I mean, VP though..
prom is alright, but definitely don't feel pressured to go because "all your friends are going" if you'd rather hang out with some friends and eat pizza and ice cream on prom night and binge watch some movies, go do that (that's what i did my 11th year)
Apply for the NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing; Earn scholarships for college; Find computing internships; I think it's only like a page long essay. Do it soon though because I think you have to submit it in Oct or Nov. They desperately want to help women advance in technology so if you are interested in science let the people at your club know. More then one of you can win from a school!
apparently you can get scholarships for having blue eyes or brown eyes, as well other weird stuffs check those out too, Polaris - ya never know what you're gonna find plus, it's better to get like $500 in scholarships than none at all
