Leeel, my mom's from Singapore. My cousins are in Singapore, and they seemed to think Singapore was a great place to live. Or rather, they said if stuff didn't work out in the US, I could always come to Singapore to live with them. Which might be an entirely different thing. Oh and they said something about job security. I dunno what they mean by that. Sides, without aircon I'd die.
Leeel, I sort of agree with some of that sentiment. I met some pretty nice Singaporean translators online and had an offline meet up. Yeah, some of the translators are Singaporean.
I've also noticed that my family which is about the only contact I've had with Singaporeans.. were a little bit... different from me in what's considered polite and/or normal conversation. They pissed my lil bro off something good. Then again. They're Christians who are all like omg gaaaays and well... Lil bro supports the LGBTQ movement sooo.
