I was talking with my manager and said we won't get paid. Idk.. I'll check my time slip at the end of my shift and see what my hours are.

If they make you take that extra hour as a break then you won't get paid. Ya, just make sure you check your time card. Do you work at 2 am!?!? Ugh. I hate to see you out at those hours. There isn't any reason anyone should be out then - other then for emergencies.

A good side is that i won't get too behind, unless we're ridiculously busy. I work from 10 till 6am Eastern Time. I will be a bit more exhausted at the end. But I can't wait to go home tomorrow.

you get to go to your parents tomorrow?! I think schools here have veterans day next Friday off and then a week after for the Thanksgiving break.

I usually work on holidays. Sadly. I did last year. Thanksgiving, and christmas. Maybe I won't have to this year. We do get busy on those to holidays. Getting fast food.
The dorms usually close but the dorm I am in is all year round and most international students are in this dorm.

Ya, I usually get stuck closing at holiday season - not that I mind all that much, it is just nice once in awhile to not feel guilty about interfering with other peoples family plans when my family is quite laid back.I guess it is my gift to my coworkers.

Yeah, my family wasn't complaining if I had to work. I wasn't able to stay as long as everyone else. It's just I have never expected to be busy on fast food when people will have Thanksgiving dinner with family...well. beside the people who don't celebrate Thanks with their families. People think it's all about Pilgrimage but it's really not. More like giving thanks,
