Not destitute or homeless exactly, but for five years, you'll be skirting on the edge of losing your house. Also would have to downgrade into cheaper stuff. If you bought fancy cars, now you've gotta use old used cars that have seen their prime a few years back. If you bought a mansion, you're stuck in an apartment. That kinda difference. Also, you'll reaaally need to start counting your coins and run around to keep things from getting worse, and you'll be in debt.

Nope, dude, gold is heavy, My clothes would all turn to gold and I can sell it, but dear god... my limbs would break, doctors couldn't do anything to help me, medication is a no go, my food might even turn to gold in my mouth! No! Absolutely no!
