It was great! We played games and watched Guardians of the Galaxy, and thankfully he didn't start crying.

He cries at Guardian's of the Galaxy or when he loses a game?

I'm curious to which one he would cry at.

Oh. No. He warned me that he might start crying because his mom passed away.

oh that is just awful! I feel so sad for him!! But I bet he really needed and appreciated your company and I bet you would have been ok letting him cry then. He must feel really comfortable with your friendship to feel he could cry if he needed to. Sounds like you are a very caring friend.

I'm so sorry. It must be absolutely awful for him. It's good that you've been there for him and cheered him up for a bit.

Yeah, I was shocked when I heard about it, but he knew it was coming, because she had cancer. I would have been fine if he had cried, yeah, but I wouldn't have known how to help. Yeah, that's a really good sign of friendship.

Yeah, he I can imagine how he feels, since I lost my brother, dog, and aunt all really close to each other in the past myself. I try my best.

But anyway, are you guys dressing up for Halloween?

Even when you know the end is coming for a loved one, it still doesn't make it easier when they pass. Just simply bring there when a person breaks down can mean the world. All you can do is offer a hug and kind words.

I'm sorry for your losses, Npixelz. I can't imagine what it must have been like for you to lose so many so close to each other.

I haven't given it much thought to be honest. I don't know if I'll even be going out this Halloween. I think the plan at the moment is to have a big meal and watch a movie. So I'll be dressed as myself. :cheeky: Have you got a costume idea yet?

Yeah, it's never easy.

My brother didn't die, as far as I know, but he had anger issues and was always getting in fights with my parents for years. One day he left and I never saw him again. Then my dog died and my aunt died. But even though he didn't die, it was the loss of my brother that had the biggest lasting impact. Thank you for your kind words.

I don't go out on Halloween anymore, but I hand out the treats to the kids, so I feel it's better to give them treats while in costume, since it's more fun being given treats by someone in costume. Plus I love dressing up. I'm planning on going as Sans from Undertale. That is, if I'm not working on Halloween.

That must be awful not knowing where your brother is. I guess it can feel worse because you don't know what happened to him. You've sure been through a lot.

The Trick or Treaters tend to come really early where I live. So normally by the time I get home (after 6pm) they've been and gone. Since I'm staying in I don't see the point getting dressed up - even though it's fun. I had to look up who Sans is and that looks like an easy one to do. Well, hopefully you're not working.

Do you carve pumpkins? It's one of my favourite things to do on Halloween. :)

Yeah, I sometimes wish I knew what's going on in his life. But it's ok.

There aren't that many trick or treaters in my neighbourhood anymore. We all grew up.
Yeah, he's pretty easy. I'll just need black shorts, which I have, slippers, which I have, and a blue hoodie, which I'm going to buy. I also need Bly face paint to make a flame above my eye. Yeah, I think I can request it off.

Pumpkin carving is fun.

Dressing up sounds like a fun idea for handing out treats on Halloween. Adds some fun to the day and gives you something to look forward to.

How's the new job going, npixelz? Getting ove rthe new job jitters and settling in?

Miss Autumn I remember you can coat the inside of the carved pumpkin with something to slow the molding but forget what...do you use a real or fake candle in your carved pumpkins? Do you do a theme?

Fingers crossed that you can have it off.

I'll have to look that up, Lemon. I still use real candles - although looking at getting fake ones so we can have the pumpkins in the living room this year. Our budgie has sensitive respiratory system so no candles in that room.

For the carvings themselves I do whatever I can come up with. I did one of Zero from Nightmare Before Christmas last year (coincidentally my neighbour did one of Jack Skellington). My fiancé had a theme, computer logos as seen below. xD

I might do something from Over the Garden Wall this year.
