Mur, in our State once you turn 18 you basically only have to take the written test and then can take the drivers but if you are under 18 then there are restrictions and amount of time that you have had to been driving.

Good for you Uchuuko! And the more you drive the more comfortable you will become...it also helps if you practice on the same car you will be taking your license on...but it is a good idea to at some time try to drive different types of vehicles to get familiar with them.

Nice to see you back on Uchuuko ! Sorry I missed you...I had to work yesterday and then we had so much else going on in the evening that I wasn't visiting Windlyn for long! ( But I did some baking/cooking while watched a movie and had a nice evening...it's wonderful just to hang out with family).

How are things going with you? Making progress?

Hi Lemon! Forgive me for the delay. How are you now? That is great that you enjoyed quality time with your family. I have put working towards my license on hold right now; I am coming up with the money to get driver's ed, while I'm dealing with other challenges like applying to graduate school. I took the GRE in late December, and I did okay (313 total).

On the 8th of January (2020), I got a financial aid email from the financial aid office of one of my graduate schools saying that they have received my FAFSA, and that they were looking forward to working with me. I have yet to hear back from the program I applied to (or from any other program I applied to at other schools), and while I understand that the financial aid message wasn't implying admission, I hope it is a good omen.

Here is hoping both the drivers Ed and the school thing works out.

Thanks!
Tired. But good. Have to work tomorrow. Well, today, because it's 1:35 Am for me, but I count it as tomorrow because I haven't gone to bed yet.

Uchuuko : great you qualified for FAFSA ! Make sure you keep on top of the schools in case somehow an email got bounced to spam or a letter was returned in error...it doesn't hurt to ask.

Beautiful day today, I'm going to go out and enjoy it!

Thank you both. I took Lemon's advice and asked a professor I emailed a while back from the school, as well as the admissions director for the program, if the program had already sent out interview invitations. Enjoy your days.

Not so beautiful a day over here. The roads are terrible. My dad picked my up from work and I couldn't open the passenger side door at first because it was frozen shut.

Good luck Uchuuko!

Yup! Not really all that scary. Pretty par for the course over here. Like, it doesn't happen too often, but it happens enough that I don't worry when it does.

I just heard back from some people from the admissions office from the graduate school I mentioned. They said I was put on a waitlist and that my application was still under consideration. The program is pretty competitive, so I guess that means I should have a better chance at getting in at the other schools I applied to, since I wasn't outright rejected from this one.

That sounds like a good sign Uchuuko! Is there anything else you can submit to "push" them into getting you off the waitlist?
