I see. Makes sense. Yeah, I can't imagine how crazy people are getting. I have my fair share of work woes as well though. People leave the shelves in a mess and I have to deal with it because I'm the one who faces it.

Ah ok, makes sense. Yeah, the store hours here changed to 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, when it was I think 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM before. And there are limits on things like milk and toilet paper.

So pubs, restaurants, cinemas and other places that people gather at all have to close from tonight. I really hope it doesn't go on for months. I feel really bad for people who work in those industries.

Today I adopted two Russian dwarf hamsters. These little hammies will get me through the lonely weekend. I'm letting them settle in so I'll mostly be watching from a distance.

Their names are Brigette and Moira. These were the names they already had. They're about a year old. I'll try and get pictures when they're up and about. They seemed pretty hand tamed when I went to see them at the adoption centre.

Do you have the hamster tunnels and wheels type of a cage for them?

No, I'm not a fan of those types of cages. They're in a 100cm x 50cm (775 square inches) wire cage with a plastic base. Currently they are together and apparently have always been but I do have a back up cage if I need to separate them. They have enough bedding depth to tunnel themselves (Brigette seems to like digging. Moria was more interested in finding the food I scattered around). They have a free standing wheel for when they in there. When they're feeling more at home I'll have a hamster safe area for them to "free run" in during the evenings.

Sounds like you've got things under control. Also sounds cute.
I remember the day we got the dog we currently have...

I've had two Syrian hamsters before so the care knowledge I have of them is similar to dwarf hamster care. It helps a lot.

How long ago was that?

I remember our hamster (syrian, she was pretty big) go out and at that time we trying to catch a mouse (I know, kind of contradictory), so I was freaking out trying to get the mouse traps before it got our hamster. I was sooooooooooooooo scared!! But she had run off the counter she was on and three rooms over under the washing machine!!!

My country has been locked down. :( I have no idea if my job is classified as essential so I have no idea if I can travel to my job tomorrow.
