Just made my husband's birthday cake for tomorrow. I've done a tiger stripe cake again this year. But this year's fondant decoration is our budgie's face lol.

It's actually not that difficult to make.

You make the cake batter. Divide it up equally into 2 bowls. Add orange food colouring to one bowl. For the black you can use colouring but I just add cocoa powder to make a chocolate cake batter.

When adding the batter to the cake tins you add one spoon of the orange batter, then add one spoon of the black on top of the orange. You keep alternating between the two batters until you use up the batter.
