oh, my love, i have loved you since day one, i have held your hand and kissed your cheek, my love, my love.
Valentine’s Day is nigh, and even though you love me, it is time to part, i am afraid.
goodbye, my love, i will miss you ever so, please, do not be sad, now, be on your way…
oh, my love, we are nevermore.
i had to do the max amount of lines because i just cant write short poems xD even that was too short of a poem for me. gah. i tried tho. i hope i did a good job c: (the poem i was thinking about entering was 35-40 something lines, so that would of definitely been unfair xD 14 lines is definitely a downsize in poem size for me)
CluClu: I'm sorry we had to out a limit on the poem, but I think you did decently. Its just not everyone may write long poems. I will add your entry to the first page!
Banni twirls around and gently takes Jay's hand, grinning with excitement. "We're almost there! To the place I wanted to take you. I hope you find it SUPER fun!" This was the surprise she's been struggling so hard not to blurt out all day! It had her wiggling in her shoes with so much excitement now that it's finally time to show him. Although a bit late in the day, but not to matter! They still had an hour before it closes. That should be plenty of time, she thought. She bounced and pulled him with her toward the lake. It was a fair sized lake, not too big but just big enough! There was a little dock on the edge of it with a small hut. There was a window with a lady leaning on the sill watching the two approach, and beside her on the outer wall posted a sign.
ROW BOATS 50 :Feather: PER RIDE HOURS 9AM - 8PM
Banni plucked a handful of feathers from her bag and handed it to the window lady. She briefly explained the rules and came out with some paddles to help them get started.
"Have you ever rowed a boat before?" Banni asked Jay as she leaned over the edge of the dock, holding her skirt in her hands. Her eyes sparkled at the little row boat, to her it was just the cutest thing! It sat there, almost completely still on the water, happy and bobbing slightly. "It's one of my favorite experiences. So I want to share it!"
She began to step into the boat. Despite the boat's wobbling, Banni remained graceful with each step. She stood in the center to even the wait, and turned toward Jay, sparkling, glimmering, smiling beautifully with an outstretched hand---
That's what she thought would happen.
But when she really tried to step into the boat, it wobbled and teetered under her weight as she imagined, but unlike her imagination, she couldn't keep herself graceful. With every movement, she flailed, wobbled, and for probably far too long became stuck with one foot on boat and one foot still on the deck. When she finally got a grip and moved her entire body into the boat, she quickly tripped and flopped on her belly in the most ungraceful, uncomfortable pose. Almost looked broken.
