Ducks don't have beaks...

- They have bills. There's a difference. While beaks are pointed and rounded at the end, bills are flat and rounded on the end.
They build nests in nearby vegetation. They create a depression in the ground and pull vegetation around the depression made to create the nest. They don't bring material from somewhere else. Also, if you see a duck nest, don't disturb it or the mama duck will not recognize it and abandon it.
Ducklings self-feed so ducks have no need to carry food to their babies and eat what they catch on the spot.
