I been in that position. Not fun, except we didn't have a mini store inside the campus, we relied on a dollar tree that was five min away by car. By foot tho. Whew.

We have a bunch of stores near campus, plenty in walking distance. We have a dollar tree about 5 minutes by car too, but there's an Ollie's Bargain Outlet store place in walking distance which is also pretty cheap, not as much as Dollar Tree but still pretty cheap. I didn't walk there because it was cold and dark and there was no way I was going to walk all the way over there, lol. I did once, and I was sick then too. I wouldn't mind it so much if I didn't have to cross a busy intersection.

Ickkk. Yeah, hopefully your getting better.

Upside tho during that time as long as we had our id, the resteraunts closest in proximity was giving student discounts. The popular places were Burger King Kfc, and of course Pizza Hut xD

wait, did you stay in where it was warm and safe or did you venture out into the dark and cold? Are you sick now?

No no, I'm not sick right now. I was saying when I did walk to that store last, I was sick.

If I venture out where it's dark and cold, I'm staying on campus. I have to walk back to my dorm at 3am for the most part from work anyway, but I would NEVER walk off campus to a store when it's dark.

There are places that do student discounts where I'm at, but Idk what places do. I don't tend to eat off campus. When I do, it's with my parents when they come to visit me and my sis.

Though, there are 4 fast food places on campus in a food court and students has meal swipes they can use after 8pm on certain foods, and we also have flex which is basically us paying so much at the beginning of the year that we can spend at those places and the convenient store and other food places on campus.

Sounds like you have some options for eating places. Still don't like you walking back a t 3 am. Would be better if you could have someone to walk with.

Yeah, I do get a little paranoid, though all I do is cross the street and then walk down the sidewalk past one building and be back at my dorm.

well it sounds like they are starting to allow you a different shift so just be vigilant on the walks home at night and hopefully you can manage to get earlier shifts.

They really can't get me in earlier due to classes really. But they have me come in 3 days a week now, and not in a row, soooo, yeah.
