Oh no Val! Strept throat is nasty!! ...it could also be the Ebstein Barre virus (if they check for that have them do an actual blood test as the in office ones can run false negative).

Did you get antibiotics for it? It is one of the things that you probably should actually take antibiotics for. Keep to liquid diet mainly... your poor throat ! I feel for you! Get better, lots of rest too!

I've been eating soups mainly and luckily the antibiotics prescription came in quickly.
I've been trying to get some rest, but was just woken up by my apartment making strange noises and am having trouble relaxing again.

And I haven't heard of that either. Had to Google it.

Soup is always good. I eat chicken noodle soup when I'm sick, though that's usually only when I'm vomiting.

The antibiotics should help you feel much better in the next 24 hours.

If you have steam heat in an apartment they make clanky sounds, others make hissing sounds or air going through water pipes can sound gurgley or bangs. Hopefully that is all it is. Mice in the walls sounds like something scratching.
