Novalia is a busy busy time of year for all regular forms of travel. The roads are clogged, the airplanes are packed, boats are speeding, trains moving full steam ahead... all to bring together loved ones this holiday season. Happiness, sharing, and lights are all around, even a normally long journey is an adventure.
Unfortunately, it's inevitable that some things get forgotten in all the hustle-bustle. Luggage. Toys. Gifts even- all sometimes get left behind. Any unclaimed items make their way to the strange
Lost Island where they sit waiting to be brought back home. Many items get claimed once their owners notice they are missing. Others get tired of waiting and go home with new families coming to look for other lost goods.
A few strange items have begun to pile up this season. Regular taxi services shuttle folk back and forth to the Lost Island; but even with the extra holiday traffic, these items have continued to remain. Perhaps their owners have an extra long journey, and will notice the absence of the items when they get there. Perhaps it's time to find new homes.
Some good citizens have put together a re-housing operation for some of the wackier lost goods. They'll be re-homed just in time for Novalia. Matched and delivered, free of charge. No need to brave the traffic to come pick them up.
The items the operation needs help with all have a different niche, but that should be no trouble. There's a perfect spot for everything.
This Novalia season, you can volunteer to help return some of the quirky lost goods once a day. Who knows, you might find that you're the perfect home after all.
Bring the precious cargo home.
