Mika That's okay. If you can take a picture in a well lit area with your phone, that works too C:
You might want to check out monoprice for some cheap graphic tablets

Blue Jay Yes, Lime and I will be your judges, this time at least.
Thank you for the cocoa, *hands you some warm mushbean cocoa* mmmm~ <3

I have been considering buying an art tablet. Its just I've been paying car payments too, so I was considering my left over Christmas tips for buying one. But if since I can't get the template, is it okay if I just do a rough sketch then? With no base? I can attempt to do a rough sketch of the avatar base.

Mika
Ohhhh.
I see.
It didn't even click when you said no printer you meant to print out the base. haha.
I'd say that's probably okay, try your best to keep it similar base size to border ratio if you do sketch a base (you could always quickly trace it or something, if that's easier).

Mousy Yup! We want to see your designs. If you think your piece might need an explanation, you can add a description in your PM. C:

Eh, I will probably just have to pass on this one for now. Even if I used an image on my phone for reference it wouldn't be the same size probably. Next time though! Sorry for bugging you with all the questions >.<

So, if the item in particular goes up onto the blue banner just a little teeny bit, it's disqualified?

We can work around it, but basically everything below the banner is the total size of the avatar images, so if it goes above we'll have to shrink it later anyways.

Thank you!
I got a little excited about the possibility of a particular item and well, excitement + lack of drawing ability = disaster.

Mika, if you have an Android or iPhone, there is an app called ArtF!ow which is free to download and works much like photoshop on your phone. I used it to draw my entry on my tablet!

Is there...a specific theme for the item...? And I guess like...how fancy can we get? And since it says one item, I'm supposing we can't do sets, just like a single cape, or a hat, or something?

I was writing a reply then got distracted. My bad!
For this contest we're looking for a single item. You can submit more than one, but each item will be considered a different entry.
As for a theme, it's an item for the new year! We would've made it a Novalian themed item, but that generally would be wintery-sorts-of-things, and we don't have enough lore out at this point for that. So something wintery, holiday, party themed, new yearsy, anything goes, really.
