storm day instead of snow day? That's actually scarier to not know how much damage will be done.

They said on the news people on higher ground would probably be better putting up storm shutters and being prepared for staying in their homes. Do you have keys to get into the school?

I don't have keys to get in, but we're supposed to get new computers in 2 weeks anyway.

It's very interesting to have a "storm" day. I've always had snow days when i was further north... I just hope we don't have to make up the days.

We had a day off cuz of high winds once
Tho we were really sure that the wind, which was nothing that bad, was literally the excuse to just give us a day off
Also my senior year we got a day off. Just because

News: schools are cancelling to prepare blah blah blah
Me: summer vacation for k-12 doesn't end for another week and a half here lol

yep, better to be safe then sorry, being as prepared as possible helps to keep us ready for what comes our way. Mousy has a little guy so I imagine that makes it a bit more difficult during a storm...then again maybe he will sleep right through it!

Still trucking along and all that! we lost power for a bit, but it's back now! i doubt it'll stay through the night though. The baby would have slept through last night, but apparently one of the cats was seeking shelter under his crib and woke him up when she wanted out.
We had tornado warnings all evening, so all of our bags and stuff are in the shelter closet, ready to go.

The weather channel is showing "squalls" starting from 9pm to 6pm sunday and then it's normal thunderstorms after that.

What's a squall? I couldn't tell you. XD

I did get reports that the road to my school is flooded though and if this rain is just going to keep up like they are saying it is, idk when i'll go back to work.
