I have to say I prefer fried tofu...on it's own it is too mushy and in miso soup I feel like it is sludgy. I haven't tried making desserts with it yet though.

Do you fry it yourself? I had fried tofu in a restaurant as part of a Mexican-style dish. I eat tofu because I enjoy it as opposed to health reasons. It's so soft.
There are also tofu noodles available in grocery stores which taste surprisingly like the real thing.

Have you heard about how one man figured out how to deep-fry water?

am going to have to look how to deep fry water...never heard of it...only deep fried ice cream.

I pan fry the tofu myself, simple...just have to squeeze out the moisture first.

I hadn't heard of that! Interesting, but not sure how much I'd like it.

This is my all time favorite cookie recipe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please give this a try!!!!

[+] SPOILER
The Best Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
by Alvin Zhou • featured in Cookies Anyone Can Make

Inspired by buzzfeed.com

Ingredients
for 12 cookies

½ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
4 oz milk or semi-sweet chocolate chunks
4 oz dark chocolate chunk, or your preference

Preparation
In a large bowl, whisk together the sugars, salt, and butter until a paste forms with no lumps.
Whisk in the egg and vanilla, beating until light ribbons fall off the whisk and remain for a short while before falling back into the mixture.
Sift in the flour and baking soda, then fold the mixture with a spatula (Be careful not to overmix, which would cause the gluten in the flour to toughen resulting in cakier cookies).
Fold in the chocolate chunks, then chill the dough for at least 30 minutes. For a more intense toffee-like flavor and deeper color, chill the dough overnight. The longer the dough rests, the more complex its flavor will be.
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Scoop the dough with an ice-cream scoop onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, leaving at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space between cookies and 2 inches (5 cm) of space from the edges of the pan so that the cookies can spread evenly.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges have started to barely brown.
Cool completely before serving.
Enjoy!

I don't think I ate enough breakfast, good thing it is almost lunch time.

I like to have soup for lunch but it is such a hot day.

What's your favorite lunch?

Even at breakfast?

I made my own hummus for the first time. :cheer: I put a little bit too much tahini - but it's still delicious.

I seem to have accidentally become my family’s recipe finder...which is hilarious because I can neither cook nor eat most of it.

That was my week.

Some recipe pictures look so delicious they make me want to eat them even if they have foods I don't like! But I always like dessert!

My dad makes this fried tofu with sauce and it's good.~
Crispy and soft at the same time.

But desserts are the beeest. :D

I've tried making fried tofu but I need a good sauce...does your Dad make his own or use a packaged sauce?

I have a stir-fried tofu recipe with spicy miso pork sauce, but it’s spicy and I have no clue how it turns out.
