I've been up to many things this year, but the biggest thing was that my husband and I adopted a new budgie. Meet Toni, she's a lutino budgie and she is super cute. We're working on taming her. It's a slow process but she's getting more curious and braver

Congratulations! Such a vibrant yellow! Was that your budgie trying to eat the blue nail polish??

I love how friendly they are, you must have a lot of patience.

We've given them the collective name of the banana birds because of how yellow Toni is, and Charlie is more green so he looks like an unripe banana haha

Luna would peck at nail polish. Charlie gets scared if you have some on your nails. We had a family member, who had painted their nails, stay with us a few months ago. Charlie would not go near them. As soon as they removed it he was happy to hop on to their finger

I noticed one of the yellow budgie's had green like a saddle on its back, unusual markings it seemed, so that is Charlie?

Birds can be bright! I don't know why they call stupid people, bird brains.

Yep, that's Charlie. I think he's a classed as a greywing/spangle colour mutation. Toni just has a yellow pigment in her feathers which is a type of albino.

Birds are incredibly smart. Parrots and corvids are amongst the smartest, but even pigeons are pretty clever too.
