happy, happy, joy, joy, must do funny.... well, I can do most walking dead episodes but never, ever, Dr.Who angels, ever again, never, never (shhh don't say their name either), never

Most people seem to like scary. I like suspense generally, I just don't like gore and I definitely can't do... (something hiding in the closet...or under the bed...or things that sneak up on you- like... if... you blink...shhhhhh)

Besides eating candy, candy, candy... we would make popcorn balls with brown sugar/caramel, butter our hands really good and roll big balls then eat the pieces off our fingers.

Re: Holiday traditions...how do you celebrate?

Postby LostInDream » Tue Nov 10, 2015 8:38 pm

Well, I don't celebrate Halloween but if any children show up I'll place a handful of candy in their bag.

Thanksgiving is usually spent at a relative's house with a few family members. I'm also a fan of the Macy's Parade, and Charlotte (NC)'s Thanksgiving Parade. Apparently it's now called the Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Christmas is my favorite holiday, I like to start decorating at the start of December. Once or twice I've started during Thanksgiving. Christmas Day is celebrated at the same relative's house, and then a trip to my grandmother's.

I also like watching 25 Days of Christmas on ABC Family. ;u;

Re: Holiday traditions...when to put up the tree?

Postby Lemon Cheesecake » Sat Nov 14, 2015 6:10 pm

It's almost Thanksgiving here and most people in the States put up their Christmas tree after Thanksgiving.
If you put up a tree when do you put it up?

I know of people who don't decorate a tree until Christmas eve. That is way too late for me. I like to watch the lights twinkle and the ornaments sparkle for as long as I can. But is it too soon to do it before December? What do you think?

I think as long as it's after Thanksgiving, it's fine.
