can you talk to the counsellor and let them know what you over hear? Maybe if the child and parents are required to get outside help the kids may be less likely to pretend. It is such a fine line because if you don't act on it and they do something that could be worse then them just abusing the system to get out of school.

The counselor knows too, but it becomes a liability issue for the school.
Its not for us to determine if they are serious or not. Even if we overhear otherwise.

If you are talking to me, please ping or quote me. I get distracted and lose track of what I'm doing easily.

It annoys me that over here the counselors often get paid more then the Teachers but they aren't half as helpful or productive.

Liabilities is what gets every one in the end. But I think you should be able to require professional opinions/releases for repeat offenses.

When someone who thinks they're going to get away with a free meal by picking up a single piece of trash off the ground in a second's worth of work when everyone else worked their butts off for an hour doing yard work. Like, seriously, you think you worked just as much as we did that you deserve it? We posted on our facebook page that you had to work for at LEAST an hour to get a free meal, but you think you can get away with it for picking up a single piece of trash? Come on! I raked freaking leaves for an hour! I deserve that meal and you don't!

She proceeds to lie to her friends that she gets to go to dinner with us for working an hour.

This actually involved 2 girls.

Neither went to dinner, and it's only fair, they didn't do any work compared to the rest of us.

We trust people and we usually know when people come in and not do anything. Not a lot of people come by and help.

It just gets me, a lot of people complain and say they want to get involved but doesn't get involved with anything.

I hate whispers.... omg.

It's all the freakin lip smacking and everything else that I hear from people whispering and not the actual words they're speaking.

I hate when people cross the road and don't look in both directions first - what, didn't your parents ever tell you to look both ways before you cross the road! They're looking at the phones in their hands and step out - sometimes I just want to honk and see if they'll notice.

When people think it is appropriate to turn the bass of their car radio up all the way so that I can feel the vibration in my chest. Like, seriously, I don't appreciate the bass. It makes me think your car is going to explode.

LOL, I'm convinced people (mostly guys although I've seen a couple of girls do it, but it's overwhelmingly a guy thing) who do that aren't playing with a full deck. What gets me is they'll say they like the bass. So wouldn't it be better if you roll up the windows?! (More bass for you!)

The only thing I think it could be is the guys think who do that think (again, brain malfunction) that it attracts women. Hello?? Maybe they're trying to attract guys.

The only thing I'm sure of is they do it for attention--and it's like they don't know the difference between good attention and bad attention...

It's just as bad with the windows up. I've noticed guy blaring their stereo, all windows up, and I still feel the bass.
