What holidays do you celebrate?

we started decorating slightly now but we're waiting until later to put up our tree because we have a very hyper kitten right now and the other cat [she's over a year old now so she's a cat! the fat arse kitty that she is.] has mellowed a bit though so i'm nervous about the tree going up this year.

You and Mousy with your curious Kitty's - so long as they don't try to climb the treee I have heard cats are ok if the ornaments are hung up higher, although I have heard of them playing with the lights too - good luck in creatively decorating this year!

I am making my husband wait until after Thanksgiving to put up Christmas decorations. He wanted to do it after Halloween, but I told him no. He did start playing Christmas music some though >_<.

cats are so curious ... it's amazing they don't get themselves in more trouble then they do! Catch it on video so you can laugh about it later!

I've been trying to sneak in decorations, but it's not working. I have successfully put a candycane magnet on the fridge, but only because I don't think he's noticed yet.
The Big Mouse's Gran passed away this time last year and she gave us all of her Christmas decorations. He is so excited to have some of her in our house because she was REALLY big into decorating for the holidays. We found some really interesting things in those boxes. xD and Garland to last a lifetime. There were several ornaments dated 1979. We also found some ornaments made from an egg shell from the 70's. I'm amazed that it's still in one piece.

oh, I am sorry, it is sad when the holidays are marred by tragedy...but on the other hand the decorations his Gran left can bring a little tenderness to the holidays too and remind us how fleeting our lives are and how important it is to show love to each other while we can.

Your shopping and decorations up?! You are so organized!!! If I get energetic maybe we'll put up the tree this week end... the Christmas lights always puts me in a cheerful mood.

The local store where I buy the chocolate advent calendars was all sold out. Apparently they sold out weeks ago! (Not that I need to eat the chocolate...) Time to pull out the paper ones that have a little saying in them.

Moved into my new house this August. With all the new home purchases we decided to not get a Christmas tree. Doesn't quite feel like Christmas time without one. Oh well, next year.

Oh, advent calendars. I haven't had one in years.
