You have to let the water for the fish sit for a few days before using it and I think there are pills you can put in it to get rid of the chlorine? It's been awhile since we had a fish tank.

goldfish are a whole category to themselves - I think they's almost live in anything, but ya, you don't know if any new fish you bring in could change the balance of the tank or bring in disease.

Betta are very sensitive, goldfish are a lot more hearty.

Yes, beta fish are also known as siamese fighting fish. I think only males fight.

Goldfish are very hearty. They are hard to kill from neglect.

oops, I copied your idea with dressing like my pet rock - is that ok? I find it a compliment if someone follows my idea and if I find something I like I try to use the idea because I think its cool. I hope that's ok... I like space so I wish I had called the beta fish pets space names now, I just wasn't thinking beyond the colors at the time.

They are a pain to keep fed
