We're under tornado watches or warnings or whatever as well!
This is soooo weird for this time of year.
I'm moving to windlyn.

Mousy: do you have an underground shelter you go to?

no.. we just have interior closets and the bathroom.

When I lived in OK, we had an underground shelter because we were right in the middle of tornado alley, but TX doesn't seem to have the same concerns. Haha

Well, it's not exactly in the plains where tornadoes hit the most. Texas is a little warmer, (I MAY BE WRONG). That it may not get hit as often. As you know, tornadoes happen with cold and warm air.

I haven't lived here long enough to even think about that, but that does make sense!
TX absolutely doesn't have as much of the weather we had in OK.
I even had to talk to my school about proper shelter in place for tornado weather.
"uhm what do you mean you want me to stay on the 2nd floor? There is no way I'll be keeping my kids up here."
"is there not a single room in the school that DOESN'T have windows?"

oh Texas. XD

In my HS we had classrooms that had no windows. It was directly in the middle of the school. No windows or anything. Just walls lol.

my hs was the same way, but the school I work in now is K shaped with one grade in the top part of the K and another in the bottom part and the office, band hall, cafeteria, and gym are in the spine of the K. Every room except for storage closets have windows. It's a BEAUTIFUL school, but it's obvious severe weather was not in mind when they designed it.

Well when I got to middle school, my elementary turned into the HS and has a walkway to the main building. Now it's basically a h sideways. The U part sideways is the old elementary school is the freshman wing (doesn't mean it's just freshman only, it's a nickname, where most freshman classes were) or east wing. And the end of I is west wing and in the middle is central.

So many interior rooms to pick from! ;D

Isn't it weird how schools aren't just a block now? Yours was h shaped, mine is K, my old hs was just weird shaped, but you go to really OLD schools and they are rectangles. XD

I have yet to see snow in New York. It's a shame because I want to go skiing this year and artificial snow sucks.
