It's still an idea we're playing with.

I've always been the kind of user who doesn't pay for sites, and always wished there was some way to get the donation currency with all the basic points I save up-- even if the conversion was something extreme... Also, most sites keep the two types of currency completely separate, except some that have a "marketplace" sort of thing, where both kinds of items are able to be sold. But by keeping them so far apart, they make the community split into haves and have-nots, and the site economy just goes downhill.

but yeah, we still have a lot to work out about it; and I'm not even worried about that right now.

Well if one can trade the donation currency in normal trades there usually is created a buying selling rate for the donation currency amongst the users and when the community gets bigger there are often people who give away the donation currency in charities and the like. So then even have-nots can have with a little effort.
But this is just speculation and it all depends on the community.

By normal trades i mean trades between users.
Well there can also happen less fortunate things like people only selling items for the donation currency and wont consider the normal currency or that people make the buying/selling rate go too high.

Myself i need another 35 feathers to get all items, 25 if we count what i will get from posting what i write now.

Personally, I would like to have it so you can trade both feathers and wings.

Take Neopets for example, which does NOT let you trade NC (NeoCash) for NP (NeoPoints) or vice versa. You can even get banned for trading or selling items for regular currency, which is bullcrap, because I get items I don't like, and there's nothing I can do but trade them for other NC items that I don't want, because I have all the ones I need.. So it's such a waste of money and it just frustrates me so bad. So I want to avoid that at all costs (of course Diana and I need to talk about these things and work them out).

BUT, there's another small independant avatar site, which you can trade their cash currency and regular currency back and forth and it's really easy and nice, and it helps people who can't afford real money transactions. I want it to be fair for everyone. People shouldn't miss out just because they don't have enough money.

Neopets policy does sound quite moronic and evil.
But it's good you are thinking a lot about users when you are working on the site.

Yeah, as much as I love Neopets it can drive me insane with their policies and stuff. I know it's a kids site, but sometimes it's just irritating how restrictive they are. They should at least be considerate towards older users. Ah, well!

But thank you, it means a lot to hear you guys say things like that. The community is #1 to us, so we want to make sure everyone is pleased, and we continue to do so, without losing track of our goals!

Hm, maybe! I guess we'll see! I know Diana and I wanna release some "fancy" items later that will be a little more expensive, but we'll get around to that. But they will be coming!

Yeah, exactly. We were thinking of doing it around graduation time possibly, but it's looking a little less than likely this time around, since we have a lot on our plates for now for Windlyn. So we'll have to release them another time, probably, instead of waiting so long. Dunno yet~

No idea, haha. We were thinking of having a release around when usual schools have graduation. Problem is, I'm in Canada, and Diana is in the US. But we'll figure it out. That's not nearly as important right now, lol.
