I've done winter sports until some years ago when I started university.
I've mainly been to neighboring countries. And once to Kenya. But as long as I'm not making any real money, traveling is but a dream. xD

I've never been there, but Germany seems awesome. I'd love to visit and explore there one day, but that's just a dream for me too. Perhaps one day...

I don't know much about Hamburg (other than the Beatles got started there!). Is it city where you live?

I live in a village next to Hamburg. xD
Hamburg is one of the biggest cities in Germany and I go to university there. I plan to move to Hamburg soon though. Commuting sucks. .-.

I bet you could come up with some good stories about commuting though... but, yah, it is much nicer when you can live close to where you work/ study. Is rent expensive there?

Yeah, that shouldn't be too hard. I study computer science. I'm just too lazy to look for one. xD

Is public transportation pretty good from where you live? How do you commute to school? I used to take the train and subway to school. It sucked in many ways, but it also allowed me to study a bit during my commute. If I had to drive then it just would be totally wasted time. :(

Well, it takes 1.5 hours from here to my university... I use bus, city train and subway. Sometimes I use the car from my village to the nearest city train station cause the bus only runs like... 12 times a day.
I usually read books or watch anime in the train... sometimes I sleep. I rarely actually use it for studying. xD

Yes, Germany! I always wonder why people get so excited over my country, haha! xD
And to answer your question, I am good. Been procrastinating a lot today...
Yeah the train gets packed, but there usually aren't problems with getting a seat in the subway and as for the city train... since I board it on its final destination it's always empty! :D Okay, not on my way back, but I'm usually late enough to not get into rush hour. And yeah, laptop+earphones. It's always funny to see the glances of the other passengers when I take out my laptop, hehe. Only annoying thing is how I have to change trains midway.

It's a cool place, I hope you're proud :9
That's great to hear! ....lol, all aboard procrastination station. what are you avoiding? :'D

I see... that's really lucky omg no sardine roleplay for you during train times. If I saw someone watching anime on the train I'd go all "YOOO THAT DUDE'S PROBABLY SUPER COOL I SHOULD GO TALK TO THEM" *creepily stares at for the remainder of the ride*

I think it's because my impression of Germany is more precise and thought out than what we're used to here in the US. There also seems to be tech and engineering advances balanced with much consideration of nature. And even the politics seem more in line with how I feel our government should be. The forrests, the autobahn, there are just so many things... then of course, the Germanic people are just stunning! :)

Dunno about being proud... maybe a little? xD
And well if you study at university, there's always stuff to avoid. Homework, reworking courses, studying for exams, trying to find a job,... it's a long list.

Sardine roleplay? What's that? I'm pretty sure there were some guys sitting next to me that were watching with me, haha! Or wondering how I could read English subs so fast. Or what exotic language that even might be. I sometimes see people reading Manga in the train or on stations, too and I always wanna ask them what manga they might be reading, but I'm always too shy. >w<

galled
Yeah, except for the capitalism and the health care... and the rents. Though we are still better off than a lot of other countries I guess. We're especially good in taking in refugees and especially bad in financing the whole thing, ahaha~ xD
