Whenever my boyfriend complains about doing little tasks. Drives me wild. He goes on tangents about the dumbest stuff and its like he wont stop talking about it!!

Sounds like not fun. Maybe tell him it bothers you? If he likes you he might try harder to stop

That sounds so annoying. I agree with npixelz. Try talking to him about it.

I agree with MissAutumn, try talking to him about it, a quiet time when he is not doing it, and how to resolve it or the annoyance will just escalate on your part over the years and become a real problem. You might agree on a code word like when you tell him "stop, I got it", that he stops going on. He might not realize what an issue it is.

I know I go on and on over something when it is an issue I am having difficulty resolving in my own mind or I am not getting the response I am looking for. Often a different approach works but sometimes we don't realize we need to shift gears.

Mouse : Better to resolve these issues now before you make a long term/life time commitment.

If you talk about things while you are calm it is easier to deal with. Keep a journal of what you need to talk about so you are not caught trying to recall the incident details later when you do end up talking about it.

Sometimes its just a misunderstanding. Ask him if you are doing anything that triggers those tirade's of his so that you can catch yourself and redirect the course of the situation...no one's perfect after all!

I agree with what's been said already. Communication is the key! Keeping stuff bottled up/hidden/unknown will fester and it's far better to figure things out earlier rather than after things get more complicated.

Good luck and hugs!

Yeah, keeping it bottled up is no good. I should know; I've suffered from it before. It's like this; you're a glass, and your stress is water. If you keep the stress inside and never drink any of it/let some of it out safely, eventually it'll all spill out and make a mess.

And yes, communication is very important, I don't have an analogy for communication, but it's very crucial in any relationship.

That's annoying when both of those things happen. I have a backup alarm for when my regular alarm doesn't go off. I have my phone and my radio switches on around the same time.
