Yeah I remember about hearing Food Lion had bad meat when I was a kid and it totally turned me off from their food. Years later I started to think that they might not have that problem anymore.

Another recall - is nothing safe? Why can't freezing food kill more bacteria?

http://abcnews.go.com/US/company-expand ... d=38864686

The recall includes all of the frozen organic and traditional fruit and vegetable products manufactured or processed in CRF Frozen Foods' Pasco facility since May 1, 2014. The Pasco factory was the only one found with the bacteria risks.

The FDA said consumers who purchased the products in question can return them to the store where they were purchased for a refund, or discard them.

 Gold medal flour with May 2017 dates and Wondra flour (I use it to make gravy) :worry:

- phew! I was freaking out because I just bought Gold Flour unbleached and made pizza...but my bag was dated Oct 2017 so it looks like mine is ok. If you cook it you should be ok but if you eat the raw cookie dough with the questionable flour then you could get sick...

Check your dates out...

No...!! Not hot drinks too!!

http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/15/health/co ... index.html

More specifically, the review by a panel of global experts stated that drinking beverages at temperatures above 65 degrees Celsius -- 149 degrees Fahrenheit -- could cause people to develop cancer of their esophagus, the eighth most common form of cancer worldwide. Drinking tea, coffee or other hot beverages at this temperature can cause significant scald burns in the esophagus when they're consumed and has previously been linked to an increased cancer risk in this part of the body.
The 65-degree Celsius temperature noted by the cancer research agency is enough to burn your tongue, and and according to the American Burn Association, skin contact with a liquid this hot can result in almost instantaneous burns if prolonged.

Then again, if it's burning my tongue why would I want to keep drinking it that hot?

I can't drink anything hot. I have to let it cool down until it's warm. Could never understand anyone who'd drink a hot drink straight away.

Neither can I. I prefer cold over hot typically unless it's really cold outside.

It seems like any extreme is probably bad for us.

I prefer cold food to hot food but I'm the opposite when it comes to the weather.

To help desensitize your teeth - Rinse your mouth with a fluoride mouth rinse or brush with sensodyne toothpaste for a week - rub some of the toothpaste on the teeth and leave it on overnight for about a week and it builds up a layer of protection. Also avoid sour or acidic foods.

I use sensodyne and my dentist gave my a fluoride mouth wash. Sometimes cold food doesn't bother me and sometimes it does.
