Hocus: I had to look up what Furries was... what animal are you going to dress up as? Do you wear the same costume each time? I can see why it doesn't hurt to throw something...with all that fur you need a way to get someone's attention!

Lemon. Those are fursuits, not every furry has one. Those things can cost 3k and up. I don't wear animal gear.

Hocus: ouch! that's a lot of money!

How about ears or something? I saw some really cute kittie ears and a cute little kittie nose! I think I'd be too hot wearing a suit but I probably would do ears... bunny ears are cute too

Are furry conventions similar to the cosplay conventions? Everyone takes lots of pictures and spends most of the time in the exhibit hall?

It's just like a normal convention. There are panels, games, vendors and dances. It's just the fandom that's different from say an anime con. People who own those suits created cartoon (like robin hood the fox, lola bunny)animal ocs that represent themselves. I have a character, but I wouldn't be interested in wearing a fursuit. You can wear tails if you want a lot of people do.

It's amazing the variety of costumes at an anime convention, and it's cool when groups go in the same theme.

I'm not into anime so I can't say I know what that's like. We don't dress up as our favorite characters, we make our own.

*pops up* I've always admired the people that take the time to make fursuits. I've seen shots of them and they look super hard to make and make right.

If you go to a furry convention people will want to hug you in those suits. As much as I want my character to come to life, I absolutely hate being touched by strangers. I like the toony suits.

I had to look this up as well. Seems like a (team/school/business) mascot convention. Must be hot inside those things!

They're more complex than school mascot costumes.

We always had pumpkin pie when I was a kid - but I did not appreciate it as much as I do now!
