a quick veggie with chicken broth soup...an easy go to when you don't have much in the cupboard...another quick one is potato soup.(not the cream kind)

I just made some beef stew in the instant pot. Tomorrow I am going to barbecue tri-tip, I bought some hoagies to put it on.

Chicken works better than beef for me. I found a bbq chicken quarters recipe a week or two ago. My mom said it’s easy, and everyone liked it. Mmm, we should have it again...

I can't wrap my mind around the fact that you can have food pieces but not broth...I would think broth would be easier to swallow?

The problem is it might go into my lungs and cause infections.

I can have plain thickened water. No other liquids.

Unbelievably, my current diet is a compromise I’m largely benefiting from.

Can you do a tens machine type of therapy on your neck muscles to get them functioning better? (Still trying to wrap my brain around your situation!).

My diet is a lot of trouble for my parents...we may need to have another feeding tube discussion.

No, tens is not an option. I technically do have a hearing implant, but I’m not sure of its status. A tens unit can fry it and maybe cause other trouble.

My neck problems are primarily tumors and a fusion.

Jello! Jello with ice cream is great, even if the ice cream melts.

sounds like you are pioneering for those with your condition... can you get any help in? I forgot whether you said there was a support group you could chat with online...sometimes you can share helpful resources.

Jello with whipped cream...is like melted ice cream...its the flavors not the textures that are so good together!
